The DF Studio Messenger is a handy way to collaborate with external partners who do not need direct access to your DF Studio account. Here are 5 useful tips to help you get the most out of your Messenger workflows.
Image Watermarking
DF Studio offers 3 different watermark options for your security needs:
Because the Recipient Email watermark will be unique for each recipient, it’s important to note that a set of watermarked previews will be generated for each image sent, per recipient. This means that a watermarked Messenger of 5,000 images, sent to 5 recipients, will result in 75,000 preview images being generated before the Messenger is able to be delivered.
View-Only Recipients
Another helpful security feature we provide is an easy way to send a view-only version of any Messenger.
Any recipients listed in the To: field will receive the standard version of the Messenger you created, while the recipients listed in the CC (View Only): field underneath will receive a different, more limited view-only version of the Messenger.
If the Messenger has watermarking enabled, the view-only version will also be watermarked accordingly.
Include a Note or Conversations
Teams making use of the Notes feature in DF Studio are able to include these notes and share them with Messenger recipients.
If Notes are enabled on a Messenger, the “Notes” button will appear in the menu sidebar at the left of the Messenger window. Click this button to toggle the display of the Notes tab in the right-hand sidebar of the Messenger.

Messenger PIN
An additional security feature, adding a PIN to a Messenger, will ensure that it cannot be forwarded to unknown parties.
While every Messenger link is secure and unique, this feature provides an extra layer of protection in case a Messenger link should fall into the wrong hands.
More details about Messenger PIN can be found here: Messenger PIN
The Messenger Notification
Each recipient’s Messenger link will arrive in an email which includes:
- The name and email address of the sender
- The name of the included gallery
- The expiration date of the Messenger link
Sometimes a Messenger Email can get caught by overzealous spam filters so it’s important to check your Spam folder if a delivered Messenger has not been received.
If your Messenger Email is not in the spam folder, please reach out to your IT team for confirmation that your email systems are allowing automated emails from dfstudio.com to your inbox. Otherwise you can always reach out to DF Studio Support for further assistance.
