DF Studio’s global search returns results matching a specific search query from across all assets viewable by the current user. For a more targeted set of results, visit a specific Project or Collection and then find assets by specific criteria.
To begin, click the “Find” icon in the far right of the menu bar above the DF Studio workspace.
The Find Within Project (or Find Within Collection) overlay will appear, with options for specifying search terms or defining additional criteria for the search based on asset metadata.
Text entered in the Full Text input box will be matched against any text associated with the available assets (such as filename, keywords, photographer, etc.). In order to search specific asset metadata, click the appropriate criteria to add fields to the search.
The Find overlay displays the search parameters from the most recent search performed in any particular Project or Collection from the same DF Studio user and web browser. Remove search criteria from the list by clicking the “close” icon in the corner, or reset the entire search by clicking the “Remove All” button.
Once all the criteria have been entered, specify whether the desired results must match all of the specified search criteria, or any of the search criteria. Then click the “Find” button.
Work With Results
Search results are presented in a proofsheet format, which can be filtered using the menus in the green menu bar. Results in the workspace can be manipulated exactly like assets in a Project or Collection. Add to the Bin, send a Messenger, edit metadata, etc.
To return to a view of all assets, click the small “close” icon at the top left of the menu bar.
Find Again
To repeat the most recent search, click “last” next to the “Find” icon at the right of the menu bar.
