DF Studio’s Messenger Import feature is a powerful B2B file transfer tool that is available to Team and Enterprise accounts, allowing assets to be shared rapidly between DF Studio accounts.
In order to import files from a Messenger, the sender must have enabled the download feature. The size of the files that are imported (e.g. previews or original files) depends on what the sender has enabled. Files may either be imported into a new Project or an existing Project.
If a Messenger PIN is enabled on the incoming Messenger, it will not be possible to import files from the Messenger. Download files and upload them to DF Studio, or request that the sender disable the Messenger PIN temporarily until the import can be completed.
Import Into a New Project
1. Hover over the “New” menu in the bottom left corner of the DF Studio interface and select New Project. Optionally use the “Save in Folder” menu to specify where the new Project should be stored.
2. Copy and paste the Messenger URL from the Messenger email into the Messenger URL field and click “Create Project”. Import begins once the new Project is created. Progress can be viewed on the Activity page.
3. Click the Refresh button to update the view and see the images in the workspace.
Import Into an Existing Project
1. Navigate to the Project where the imported files should be stored and click the “Import from Messenger” button, located adjacent to the “Upload” button in the Project Inspector in DF Studio’s right-hand sidebar.
2. Copy and paste the Messenger URL from the Messenger email into the Import from Messenger overlay, then click the “Import Messenger” button to begin the import.
The file transfer will begin immediately. Progress can be tracked by viewing the Activity Monitor.
3. Click the Refresh button to update the view and see the images in the workspace.
