Buttons in DF Studio’s left-hand navigational sidebar provide one-click access to organize assets into existing Projects and Collections. In any context where assets can be viewed and selected, these quick-access buttons allow adding assets to Collections or moving assets into Projects. Because the use of these buttons does not require navigating through the Library to locate a destination Project or Collection, they can greatly speed up the process of organizing assets within the account.
Any time an asset is selected, these quick-access buttons will appear automatically alongside Projects and Collections in the Recent and Bookmarks menus. Click the button next to a Project or Collection to send the selected asset or assets to that destination.
Quick-access buttons will be deactivated where permissions do not allow the operation to be completed. See Control Access With Permissions Settings for more detail.
Move Assets to Another Project
When adding selected assets to a Project, a confirmation overlay will appear, in order to prevent any accidental moves. While it is always possible to move assets back to their source Project, the process can be time-consuming and in rare cases may require disentangling migrated Edits.
Add Assets to a Collection
Adding assets to a Collection requires no confirmation, since nothing is moved: the selected assets are added to the Collection, excluding any assets already existing in the Collection, and can be easily removed from the Collection at any time with no cleanup required.
A confirmation message will appear when the assets have been added successfully, and the message will dismiss automatically after a few seconds.
Customize the Bookmarks Menu
In order to take full advantage of these buttons, it may be useful to organize the Bookmarks menu for easier access to preferred Projects and Collections. For information about editing and re-arranging items in the Bookmarks menu, or adding items quickly from the Recent menu, see Manage Navigational Shortcuts.
