To host a Web Portfolio on an existing website or platform, it is necessary to transfer the files for the images and the gallery page. This can be accomplished via SFTP by providing the authentication to the server and specifying the dimensions for generating preview images.
Access the Collection which is the source for the Web Portfolio, and click the “Export via SFTP” button in the Portfolio section of the Collection inspector to open the Export Portfolio page.
Provide a title and an optional description for the Web Portfolio.
Enter the server, username, and password for authenticating with the remote server, and specify the path to the directory where the Web Portfolio should be uploaded. Provide a name for the Web Portfolio folder, which DF Studio will create and upload the contents into.
The Export Portfolio page also houses the controls for configuring the size of preview images. Specify the dimensions of a bounding box to contain the image. For example:
-
125x125 (Can also be specified as 125) means that the preview image will be sized proportionally so that its largest dimension is 125 pixels.
-
360x240 means that the preview image will be sized proportionally so that it is no wider than 360px or no taller than 240px, whichever is smaller.
-
480W means that the preview image will be sized proportionally so that its width is a maximum of 480 pixels, with its height varying according to whichever dimension will maintain its proportions.
Once the settings are properly configured, click the “Export Portfolio” button in the toolbar at the bottom of the DF Studio window to begin transferring files to the remote server.
