Each DF Studio account includes a contact list to organize frequently-used email addresses for distributing Messengers and Assignments. Contacts can be viewed and managed by clicking the “Contacts” link in the top right of the DF Studio interface, next to the tab bar.
View Contacts
Clicking the “Contacts” link opens the contact list with a browsable list of all contacts saved to the account. Click “Groups” under the Viewing section to view contacts by group.
For accounts including a large number of contacts, the search tool will locate a specific contact more efficiently than scrolling through the contact list. Type a search query to perform a live search across all contacts, or click on “search specific fields” to perform and advanced search.
Edit Contacts
To edit a contact, click the person’s name or the “Edit” link at the right of the contact record in the contact list or search results listing.
In the resulting Edit Contact overlay, it is possible to add or remove multiple email addresses, phone numbers, etc. Click the “Groups” link to add the contact to a group, or remove from a group.
Add or Remove a Contact From a Group
Group membership is managed in the record of the individual contact. To add or remove a contact from a group, first locate the contact and click the person’s name or the “Edit” link at the right of the contact record to open the Edit Contact overlay.
Click “Groups” in the Edit Contact overlay to display the contact’s current group membership. All groups in the account are listed, with selected groups representing those in which the contact is already a member. Click the name of any group while holding down the Control key (Windows/Linux) or Command key (Mac) to toggle its selection.
Once the selected groups reflect the intended group membership, click “Save” to commit the changes.
Delete Contacts
Remove contacts from a contact group using the steps outlined above. To remove a contact permanently from the DF Studio account, click “Remove” from the links at the right of the contact record in the contact list or search results list, then click “OK” in the resulting confirmation box.
Create a Group
Click the “New Group” button in the toolbar at the bottom of the contacts screen to open the New Group overlay. Provide a name for the new group and click “Save” to create it. Add members to the group individually using the steps outlined above.
Import Contacts
Contacts may be imported from an existing address book by importing a standard vCard file (*.vcf) which can be exported from most leading address book software.
Click the “Import Contacts” button in the toolbar at the bottom of the contacts screen to open the Import Contacts overlay. The system offers options for handling any duplicate contacts found within the uploaded file, as well as any duplicate groups.
