Each DF Studio account includes a contact list to organize frequently-used email addresses for distributing Messengers and Assignments. Contacts can be viewed and managed by clicking the “Contacts” link in the top right of the DF Studio interface, next to the tab bar.
View Contacts
Clicking the “Contacts” link opens the Contacts overlay with a browsable overview of all contacts saved to the account. Click any group from the group listing to filter contacts by group.
For accounts including a large number of contacts, the filter tool will locate a specific contact more efficiently than scrolling through the contact list. Enter text to perform a live search across all contacts shown.
Add Contacts
Any recipients added when sending a Messenger are automatically added to the Contacts list. Additional contacts may be added individually, or imported from a VCF file (see Import Contacts, below).
Open the Contacts overlay and click “New Contact” to add an individual contact.
Edit Contacts
To edit a contact, click to select the contact in the main contact listing. The contact’s card will be displayed in the right-hand panel, where its details can be edited. Click within the Groups input to select additional groups.
Add or Remove a Contact From a Group
Group membership is managed in the record of the individual contact. To add or remove a contact from a group, first locate the contact and click to display its contact card. Use the Groups input in the contact card to manage the groups in which the contact is a member. Select from the list of existing groups, or type to filter the list.
Group membership can also be managed using quick-access buttons from the group listing. Select any contact, then use the “add” or “remove” icons alongside the appropriate groups to add or remove that contact as a member.
Delete Contacts
Remove contacts from a contact group using the steps outlined above. To remove a contact permanently from the DF Studio account, select the contact from the contact list. Within its contact card, click the “Delete” icon in the lower corner, then click again to confirm the deletion.
Create a Group
Click the “New Group” button at the bottom of the group listing to add a new group. Provide a name for the new group and click the “Save” icon to create it. Add members to the group individually, using the steps outlined above.
Import Contacts
Contacts may be imported from an existing address book by importing a standard vCard file (*.vcf) which can be exported from most leading address book software.
Click the “Import Contacts” button in the toolbar at the bottom of the contacts screen to open the Import Contacts overlay. The system offers options for handling any duplicate contacts found within the uploaded file, as well as any duplicate groups.
