Messenger links expire at midnight (11:59:59 PM) on the specified expiration date, in the time zone of the sender. The expiration may be extended or shortened at any time. Expiration dates can be configured separately for each recipient of a Messenger, if desired.
To modify a Messenger’s expiration date:
1. Click to open the Messenger tab, then click the Messenger.
2. In the Messenger Inspector on the right side of the screen, open the Recipients list by clicking the small disclosure triangle. Click the “More…” button beneath the list.
3. Click the “Edit” link beside any expiration date to modify that date individually. To modify all expiration dates simultaneously, click the “Check All” button, then the “Alter Expiration Date” button
4. Expire the Messenger immediately by choosing “Now” (any Messenger sessions currently open will expire within two minutes), or specify a future expiration date. Click “Save” to commit the change.
DF Studio does not email Messenger links or reminders to recipients for Messengers that have already expired. (For example, if a Messenger is manually expired during the period while assets are being automatically restored to Active Storage, no email will be sent when the restore is complete. See Cold Storage and Active Storage for more information.)
