In order for uploads to proceed, the Upload Monitor window must remain open and the computer display must remain active and unlocked to permit access to the files during transfer. The Sleep Lock feature is designed to prevent the display from locking or sleeping while an upload is in progress. This allows longer upload operations to proceed unmonitored without the risk of interruption.
Sleep Lock is enabled any time a new upload is started, and will deactivate automatically as soon as the file transfer has completed, allowing the computer display to sleep according to its usual settings. Thus, an ongoing upload operation can be left unattended without concern that the display will be kept active indefinitely—it will sleep as soon as possible without interrupting the upload.
If it is necessary to disable Sleep Lock while an upload is in progress, this can be accomplished by clicking on the toggle to deactivate the feature, though this is not recommended as it increases the risk of the upload being suspended.
If the Upload Monitor is unable to enable Sleep Lock automatically, it should be possible to enable the feature manually, by clicking the toggle. Please report any issues with enabling Sleep Lock directly to DF Studio Support.
