People Recognition consists of two interdependent scans that are performed on each image file. Image analysis is performed on all processed images, detecting objects, image quality metrics, and the existence of faces. For any assets in which faces are detected, a second process recognizes the faces included, and matches them with others in the DF Studio account.

The image analysis process is billed at $0.002 per asset, and the People Recognition process is billed at $0.02 per face recognized. Consult the monthly DF Studio invoice for more specifics on pricing. 

Cost Estimator

When activating the People Recognition process on an asset or set of assets, a cost estimator is available in the overlay, to help anticipate usage fees associated with the process. Because the number of faces cannot be known until after People Recognition has processed the images, specifying an average number of spaces is necessary to tune the estimate.

Usage Reporting

Account administrators can view reports of recent People Recognition usage and cost. Reports for the entire DF Studio account are available from the Reports section of the Settings screen.

The “Usage” button in the People dashboard will display a report specifically tracking People Recognition usage in the current Project.

The records from the account-wide report can be filtered by date range, and the data from the reports can be copied or downloaded in CSV format.
