In many DF Studio accounts, all files are automatically processed through People Recognition at the point of upload. In cases where this automation is not enabled, the process can be initiated within a Project, or for an individual asset.
Note that there is a nominal fee associated with the People Recognition process, which scales based on the number of assets analyzed and the number of faces found. Please see People Recognition and Billing for more information.
Run People Recognition on a Project
From any Project view, click on the “Recognize” button in the Project Inspector.
If a People Recognition summary appears in the place of the “Recognize” button, all assets in the current Project have already been analyzed by People Recognition.
Click the “Recognize” button to begin processing images. Any assets in a Project that have already been processed will be skipped.
People Recognition will begin immediately, and progress can be tracked by visiting the Activity Monitor, if desired.
Run People Recognition on an Asset
To process an individual asset, select the asset in any perspective and then click the “Recognize” button from the Asset Inspector.
If a People Recognition summary appears in the place of the “Recognize” button, the current asset has already been analyzed by People Recognition.
If an asset has not yet been processed, the “Recognize” button will also appear in the place of the face strip when People View is active. Clicking this button will initiate People Recognition on the current asset, just like the button from the Asset Inspector.
Once the process has begun, its progress will be updated in the Activity Monitor.
Run People Recognition Automatically
Admin users can contact DF Studio Support to enable People Recognition for all images, performed automatically when ingesting files from new uploads.
